| 1. Arrangements
for the Ramadhan |
a. Ensuring the
uninterrupted supply of water, electricity, and essential goods during this
month. b. Free distribution of dates
among the Muslims receivable from the Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and
United Arab Emirates. |
| 2. Arrangement
for the Hajj |
a. Registration
of Hajj Travel Operator b. Opening of
a special passport counter for a period of two weeks at the Department of
Immigration and Emigration to help the pilgrims to get their passport
without any difficulty.
c. Arrangements to obtain visas for the
pilgrims and free movement visas for the travel operators.
d. Arrangements with the airline
authorities to get the required numbers of seats at lower rates.
e. Officers are sent to assist the airport
authorities during the departure and arrivals of pilgrims at Katunayake
International Airport.
f. A team of officers are sent to look
after the welfare of the pilgrims and the travel operators in K.S.A.
g. A medical team is sent to K.S.A. to treat the Sri Lankan pilgrims during
the Hajj.

for the National Meelad |
a. Publishing
the History of Muslims of that District, where the Celebration is held
b. Conducting competitions on Reciting Quran,
Islamic Articles, and Islamic and general affairs in all three languages.
The winners are awarded certificates and cash prizes
c. Rehabilitation and Development of that
District, including the religious places
d. Honoring 15 senior Muazins and Katheebs,
who served in the Mosques for very long years
e. Conducting Islamic self employment
training for the unemployed and unmarried girls selected from that District
f. Conducting training programme for the
Teachers of Islamic preschools

Arabic Colleges, Quran Madrasa, & Islamic Preschools |
